I created sculpts of three charismatic megafauna from Africa. Some subspecies of Giraffe are critically endangered in 2021. The African Lion is Vulnerable and on the verge of being critically endangered. It may go extinct in 2050. The African Savanah Elephant is, as of 2021, endangered and some reports say it may go extinct by 2040. I find it difficult to fathom that one day, all we may have of these beautiful animals are the photos and art produced by people. Asia has its own species of Elephants and Lions, also endangered.
